When I got to Belize city and stepped out of the airport, something reminded me of the Dominican Republic. Not sure why I had that feeling, but I guess humidity is one! And I loved it.. because I automatically knew there’s a new adventure ahead.
We took a bus from the airport to Orange Walk, a region in Belize City! (Based on the new lady friend that I made at the airport who worked at the cute accessory shop) A taxi ride will cost me around USD 70, so I had an option of a bus ride from around $20ish for two hours ride and half an hour walk, but I decided it would be best to head to Orange Walk, where my hotel is located, with the rest of the tour!)
We passed by the city center and drove around its streets, and the feeling of authenticity made me feel humble and loved… I had a smile on the way to the hotel.
Remember how I keep telling you not to be afraid of traveling solo! You’ll meet the best people and travel buddies along the way 😀
Other than how beautiful it is the way to the hotel was, the hotel is even more gorgeous to stare at!
We took a small boat ride around the hotel!
Belize City and its regions were out of o this world! Make sure to check out the other Belize posts, especially Lamanai Ruins’ post
