One plan to another.
I keep changing and editing my European tour trip destinations because I spent two days extra in Romania, even when I already used all my additional travel days in Bosnia and another two different days in Kosovo. The list goes on and on.
Looking at my return flight from Paris, I am hoping to go to every country in the European continent within two months; I already spent a month in France for a cool film program that I was a part of, so it’s more like having one month left to go to 28 countries. It is doable but will make you spend a day to a few hours in a country; it’s not the type of travel I’m used to.
I was hoping to take advantage of my Eurail first-class pass as much as possible; in other words, I spent a lot of money on it, and being a self-employed/ student to travel to every country in the world before 30 doesn’t make it any easier.
All that can get to your head and gives you the impression that you can’t accomplish that goal before the deadline.
That is precisely where I am now. Every day I am being reminded that that is not who I am, my friends and family members, by strangers I meet on the road (I sometimes refer to them as guiding angels) or by getting my toe stepped on so hard by an older man in the train and thinking it broke (there’s a fantastic story behind that, went through the whole travel community that includes strangers unconditional love to others)
My toe incident caused me to be in remote-able as I was when I completed successfully around 85% of my European tour travel destinations. As I am writing this in Cluj-Napoca, a city in Romania that a total stranger I met for precisely 2 minutes in Kosovo while I was thinking about my destinations to come, told me that I should visit (See! That’s why I believe that they are angels!) somehow Cluj-Napoca is the city I found myself at, after heading from Bucharest to Moldova and Transnistria after for a strange reason I was denied entry into Moldova (Although I had the absolute legal rights to go in, the officer claimed that the laws were changed and were not updated online.)
I wasn’t upset! I honestly felt like I was asleep going through the whole experience back to Romania (maybe because it was from 3 am until 11 pm!), but still, it was a full day, and I just found myself on the second train that is 7 hours long to Cluj, and that is when I felt like I woke up!

My first impression of this city is indescribable; I instantly fell in love with it when I had a completely different mindset about it and how it looked like; I immediately told myself that I want to live here just from my Uber ride across the city. My hostel turned out to be exactly as I imagined my house would be as a little girl; I instantly fell in love! (I’ve been falling in love a lot in Europe, lol! But bear with me because this whole trip is literally like a manifestation of my dreams and everything I ever wished for and wanted to have as a little girl.)

It’s so weird, but this is my third time that I ever planned a trip to Europe, the first two miserably got canceled and burned in my mind, but you know what; I guess third time is a charm, right!
Anyways, going back to my train of thought. Do I think I will continue my fast travel through Europe’s plan? After this talk to myself for the tenth time but having it written down, I say no.
I believe that I am young and ambitious enough to say I will travel the world, and I don’t have to always stress about it and about what will the future holds for me.
I found myself forgetting the locations that I’ve visited and been to because of how fast I am traveling, and that is one of my worst nightmares, to forget the things I love, brought me happiness, and did out of it.
A quote to remind myself:
A thousand dollar for a Eurail pass doesn’t equal all the thousands of memories that I will miss while I slow travel.
