We take the famous shinkansen bullet train at speeds of up to 180 mph in the morning to Hakone (that thing was Fassett..)
In Hakon, one of Japan’s most popular inland resort cities, we got a guided tour through one of the country’s most-loved parks.
We saw historic sites,
lakes,
hot springs,
Up-close views of Mount Fuji.
And ride a cable car up Mount Komagatake for incredible mountaintop vistas.
Beautiful scenery on a boat cruise of Lake Hakone,
Later, we had a Kaiseki Ryori Dinner, a traditional Japanese multi-course, haute cuisine dinner.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
