From San Pedro White Sands to Hopkins, the next best thing to Cancun, Mexico!
Warning: This post includes tons of relaxation, exotic drinks, and getting spoiled by the beach.
While getting off the boat to Hopkins, the second you notice, besides the beach and resorts, is the “affordable body massages by the beach” signs, before seeing the third fantastic thing, which is the crazy giant slide and bar in the middle of the water.
My resort was sure like a Caribbean dream castle,
mainly when it was lunchtime after your kayaking, snorkeling, or diving near the bar
And there was this one slogan that always stayed in our minds.. and on our tongue, I suppose!
Un-Belize-able!!
Corny Yes! But it’s true.. the view was unbelievable, mostly when it was winter season in NYC and my friends were complaining to me about the rain!
I couldn’t help myself not to send them a picture!
We did have some issues! Like when my friend got stung by a jellyfish when we were swimming together… And I had to stay away from the sea! So I boycotted the sea for two days! ? Lol.
I did go into the pool.. all three of them!!
I even got to work on my laptop like the Digital Nomad I am..
But what I loved about Hopkins was not just the resorts and staying up late partying, but the community!
We walked into town and ate lunch there for one day, and all I could think about was the Dominican Republic and when we went to the secret beach.
Comparing both experiences, I saw myself enjoying my stay within the local community and playing with the little dog the local bar owner had. Haha, Yes, it’s true… Simplicity is Luxury!

Love the disclaimer, more travel bloggers should use this as well. WHat I liked best was that you highlight the local community as well. Nothing wrong with traveling and staying in resorts but if you really want to get into the area it’s always best to local. And you seem to of already known that.

Belize. One told me that there is a beach there for every day. Sounds so nice. I’d love that.
I love Belize a couple years back we spent the day at Starfish Island it was unBelizable watching the waves come in and sipping on refreshing cocktails we’re planning to visit again soon.
Great photo blog and display. I would hate to swim and get stung by Jellyfish on holiday but I guess that comes with the ocean! I really enjoy getting away to the islands and working on my blog. It is so relaxing. Thank you for sharing your experience.
We mostly love to travel to countryside where it is easier to connect with people and to enjoy that simplicity of the place rather than rushing city life.
