Unexpected Weekend in Sao Paulo, Brazil -Filled with Street Dancing, and Full Streets

My trip to Sao Paulo was a different kind of travel, the type that I tried for the first time… Delivering goods!

Yes, it might sound like a scam, but there are start-ups now that will pay you and cover your flight and hotel to whatever country you want, or they need you to deliver what other people from that country bought online for them to pick up in person!

Believe it or not, but international shipping is expensive as fuck.. so it’s cheaper to send someone in person than to deliver them with delivery carriers.. and that’s what I did!
There is nothing illegal about it, I think! I mean no drugs, no weapons, none of that crape.. just random stuff people purchased online from Amazon or eBay and want them delivered!

You stay a week or so, wait for people to come to your hotel for two specific days, you give them what they ordered, and you chill for the rest of the days.

My trip was a little special, not because I tried for the first time but because I met a unique local, Local Brazilain Youtuber who was also working with that company to mention them in one of his youtube videos. He was my lovely local guide to the secrets of Sao Paulo!

For my luck, I was in Sao Paulo on a Sunday… that means I got to see the Paulista street in action!

The liveliness of the street on the weekend is crazy.. all young and old gather here to have fun, dance, street preform, and shop!! Kind of like times square in New York City minus the cars!!

Even the Mall is cool.. and you know me, I don’t ever go to Malls… Like never!!

And the food… Oh, My GOdddd!! The Foood!!

If there’s something, you have to try… it’s cajun juice with no doubt.. that thing is delicious!!

Here’s a fun fact for you guys… Did you know that Sao Paulo is a young LGBT hub!!
Yeah!!! More than New York City…

Now, another location than Paulista street is Jardins, which is the wealthy area of Sao Paulo…

Yes, it’s a beautiful area, but, to be honest, I loved the other side of Sao Paulo… The graffiti, the Art, and Culture worked its magic on me…

Although I didn’t get a chance to visit the streets myself, the view from the window captured my love… I know! I need to revisit Sao Paulo and experience it for myself!

Since my trip was organized and paid for by the online travel carrier, they had me in one of the most excellent hotels.. which is something I don’t usually do when I travel; I always try to travel on a budget; it gets you to experience the journey truly…
But here’s a look at my hotel…

Not sure if I mentioned that, but it took me more than 24 hours to get to Brazil, and it was one hell of a journey with two stops in Miami and Manas!! So I was rewarded with a beautiful hotel!!

So when I was at that super cool Mall, my Brazilian friend told me that you can’t visit Brazil without buying a Havaianas Flip Flops and Sandals!! The original ones.

I even got one for my baby cousin… I couldn’t resist the cuteness!!

My experience with this kind of travel was enjoyable.. would I do it again? Maybe… Maybe No. I see that traveling by myself with my budget is much better, more flexible, more days, and a real experience. No luxury, but real adventure, new friends, and an authentic cultural exchange… that’s exactly what I look for when I travel!
